Maternity Care
The Maternity and Infant Scheme provides an agreed programme of care free of charge to an expectant mother arising out of her pregnancy.
This is the best and most convenient form of ante-natal care.
The Scheme offers a system of combined care from our surgery and the maternity hospital/unit of your choice.
Our ante-natal clinic is run every Tuesday morning. You will need to make an appointment in advance to attend this clinic for routine antenatal and for both your 2 week and 6 week check-up after your baby is born.
The following schedule of visits outlines in what week of your pregnancy should you be attending your GP and maternity hospital/unit.
Care in respect of illnesses which are co-incidental with but not related to your pregnancy does not form part of the scheme, and you are therefore liable to a fee.
